Taewoo (태우; also stylized as TAEWOO) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and rapper under MECHIVE. He made his solo debut on May 23, 2021 with his first digital single "Pause".
In 2019, he was a contestant on Channel A's survival show Vocal Play 2 and finished in the top 16.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
In 2021 and 2022, he competed as SingAgain2 Singer No.42 (싱어게인2 42호 가수) on JTBC's survival show Sing Again 2 and finished in the top 26.[7][8][9][10]
In 2024, he was a contestant on Mnet's survival show Build Up : Vocal Boy Group Survivor and finished in the top 30. He performed "Thought of You" by John Park as V28, "Beautiful" by Crush, "Downpour" by I.O.I, and "Forest" by Choi Yuree during the show.[11][12][13][14]
