History[]
2019: Predebut[]
Jayoung and Yeongeun were classmates with the same music taste. In an attempt to create their own rock band, they contacted people on social media. Only Hyunjung accepted to join them. The three-member group was named "Rose Quartz" and started to upload cover videos.[1]
Later, Yeongeun's drum teacher introduced them to the duet "Rolling Girls" constituted by Iree and Arem.[1] Becoming "Rolling Quartz", the group was formed at the end of 2019.[2]
2020: Debut[]
Rolling Quartz began activities in early 2020, hosting live events and performing numerous songs targeting the South Korean market before their official debut in the second half of the year.
Through March till December of that same year, the group showcased some of their demo songs including "Delight", "Rock And Roll Paradise" and "Blaze".
On June 18, they released the single titled "New Edition 21", a collaboration with producer duo 015B as part of their "New Edition" project.[2]
The band officially debuted with the final version of "Blaze" on December 29, 2020.
