RARE (레어) is a singer-songwriter and producer. He is a member of the independent music crew NAMED LATE. He released his first digital single "Push" as a soloist on March 25, 2021.
Career[]
RARE attended high school at Hanlim Arts School where he formed the crew NAMED LATE with his friends and classmates Giuk (ONEWE), Sunwoo (THE BOYZ) and Woobin (LUMINOUS).
Since 2019, RARE has been active producing and releasing music on SoundCloud, both individually and as a member of NAMED LATE.
On March 25, 2021, he officially released one of his SoundCloud songs "Push" on other streaming and download platforms as his first digital single.
On January 7, 2022, he released his first EP Rareness along with music videos for the title track "Movie" and B-side "Surfin'".
RARE, along with Gray Dot, is featured in Giuk's "Happy or Not?", together three of the five members of NAMED LATE. The song was released as part of Giuk's second solo mini album Rise Waves on November 15, 2023.
On February 10, 2024, RARE posted a teaser announcing a collaboration "Fade Out" with Gray Dot, which is to be released on February 26.[1]
Personal life[]
He enlisted in the military on February 14, 2022 as a member of the navy UDT/SEALs and was discharged on October 13, 2023.[2]
