PATZ (파츠) is an independent South Korean four-member boy band. They made their debut on May 28, 2022 with the digital single "Water".
On October 11, 2022, PATZ original vocalist COKEONSOBER left the band due to health reasons. On August 8, 2023, Cho Yoonchan was announced to be joining as the new vocalist of the band.[1]
Career[]
2022: Debut and Great Seoul Invasion and COKEONSOBER's departure[]
On April 16, 2022, PATZ participated in the livestream auditions for the Mnet band survival program Great Seoul Invasion.
On May 28, 2022, the band released their debut digital single "Water".
On June 16, PATZ were announced to have passed the auditions for Great Seoul Invasion.[2] The band participated in the program until the third round, following which they requested to leave the program due to the health of their vocalist COKEONSOBER.[3] COKEONSOBER subsequently left the band on October 11, 2022, due to health reasons.
2023: Addition of Cho Yoonchan and fresh start with "The Light"[]
On May 19, 2023, PATZ released a teaser announcing a fresh start for the band.[4] This was followed by a series of teasers leading up to the official introduction of the band's new vocalist Cho Yoonchan and the announcement of their second digital single "The Light" released on September 14, 2023, as well as their third digital single set to be released in October.[1][5]
